Open Market – Event Design
Having decided to hold their annual conference in New Orleans, Open Market wanted to build a theme around the unique culture of the city, leveraging it’s cultural touchpoints to build a sense of excitement for the event. New Orleans’ inextricable link to jazz music was the starting point for the event’s look and feel. This was further narrowed to focus on classic, mid-century jazz album covers from New Orleans – drawing on their iconic, geometric, visual language and bold, playful use of typography to create a sense of dynamism reflective of the vibrant city.
